Macro Photos publishes its own original photography and respects the rights of other creators. If you believe that a photo, page, or other item on macrophotos.org infringes your copyright or another right, tell us which item needs review.
Send your request to [email protected] with the subject “Copyright or removal request”.
Who can send a request
A copyright owner or someone authorized to act for that owner can send a copyright report. If your concern involves a different right, explain the right and your connection to it.
If you simply want to understand how to use one of our photos, read the Image Usage and License page or send a licensing question through Contact Us.
Information to include
A clear request helps us identify the material and review the concern. Include:
- Your name and a working email address.
- The name of the rights owner, if you act for someone else, and an explanation of your authority.
- The exact URL of every page or file on our website that you want us to review.
- A description of the original work or right involved, with a link or other useful evidence of ownership.
- A clear explanation of the concern and the action you request, such as a correction, restriction, or removal.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use lacks the required permission or legal basis.
- A statement that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- Your typed name or another form of signature.
These details support our website review process. A formal legal notice may require different or additional information under the law that applies to you.
What happens after a report
We review the material identified in your request and the information you provide. We may ask for clarification or further evidence if the report does not identify the work, page, or rights clearly enough.
Depending on the concern, we may correct a credit or description, pause a download, restrict access, remove an item, or explain why we believe the use is permitted. A report starts a review; it does not by itself establish infringement.
Review times vary with the information and the issue. If you follow up, reply in the same email thread and include the relevant page links.
Disputed or mistaken reports
If you believe we acted on incorrect information, reply with the reasons and evidence that support your position. Include the original request reference or relevant page link so we can review the same item.
We do not promise to restore content automatically. Where a formal legal notice or counter-notice process applies, we will handle the request under the relevant requirements.
Privacy and supporting documents
We use the information in a report to evaluate and handle the concern, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may share relevant details with a service provider, adviser, affected rights holder, or authority where necessary or legally required.
Send only the information needed to support your request. Do not include passwords, payment details, or unnecessary identity documents. If a document needs special handling, explain that before sending it.
Accurate reporting
Please make reports honestly and include the facts you can support. False or misleading reports can harm creators and interfere with lawful uses of photographs.
To report a concern, email [email protected]. Include the exact photo or page URL so we can locate the material.
